The Energy

“अनंत पुराणो में छिपा है सनातन सत्य,
इसे पूर्णतः किसने देखा ?
वरुण के है नयन हजार ,
इंद्र के सौ, आपके-मेरे केवल दो ! ”
Translation: The eternal truth is cloak in the depth of the ‘Purans’ (Scriptures). Who has seen (knows) it all? Lord Varun has thousands eyes, Lord Indra has hundreds, you and me have only two.

The Energy

Humans with their limited sense of understanding can only fathom and interpret the absolute truth in the fraction of its entirety. Hence we have developed limited understanding about the Energy, which provides life in the Universe. The energy we know as ‘ability to do work’ contains much deeper meaning. Let’s understand this.

  • There is no definition of Energy, different dimensions of Science describe Energy in various ways, different cultures define it with various names, for example Vedic Sanskriti calls it “PRANA” or “PRANA SHAKTI”, In China it is known as “CHI”, In Japan it is called “KI”.
  • We moved through three dimensional world, do different activities, process various information, communicate, and other tasks. We all use Energy to do each activity; however there is something unaccounted for, which cannot be detected by modern scientific equipments. That is ‘Subtle Energy’, which is also undetected by human eye. Energy is not made up of anything, Energy is term used to describe a trait of matter and non matter field.
  • Everything in this universe is made of Energy and its vibrations of various frequencies. In living beings Energy flows not only from physical nourishment, but also move through from energy pathways which we called ‘Chakras’.

Our Sun, the biggest source of Energy for planet Earth; which is also responsible for creation and sustenance of life. Heat energy produce by the Sun converted into chemical energy by plants by the process of Photosynthesis. This Energy is used by plants and other animals by process called metabolism. However, we can utilize 10-12% solar energy, but if we increase the use of solar cell and solar plants we can increase the utilization of Solar Energy in the same way the Universal Energy is in abundance, but we can only utilize the friction of it. If we increase the practice of Yoga, Meditation and other methods, we can tap into this infinite source of Energy. Various Chakras in our body act as recipients of this energy.

As per law of energy conservation, Energy neither can be generated nor can be destroyed. It can only transform from one form of Energy into different one. As per the law of Thermodynamics, we loss some amount of Energy at each stage of transformation. The same laws are applicable in our daily life as well. In our day to day activity we loss some amount of ‘Prana Shakti’ (Energy) and we feel underwhelming or sad. So it is very important to us to regain this energy by Meditation, Yoga, Exercise, Proper Diet, and other methods of Natural Healing. To become a joyous and healthy human being we need to become a dynamic and harmonious mixture of all the aspects of this Energy.

This subtle energy may not be measurable by scientific equipments mainly because it is ‘Physical manifestation of non physical Energy’. Let’s take the example of prayer and distant healing touch. We cannot measure the energy of prayers or its positivity but we can definitely feel it, in fact effects of prayers and therapeutic touch are well investigated and documented by various scientists across the globe. The Energy of ‘Chi’ or ‘Prana’ and its effects on living tissues is also well documented.

Modern science confuse ‘Power’ with ‘Energy’, power is not energy in terms of spirituality, it is very important to understand this difference. As per science, Energy is capacity of doing work. It may be exist in the form of Potential energy, Kinetic energy, Thermal energy, Electrical energy, Chemical energy, Nuclear energy and other various forms. Up to certain level ‘Chi’ or ‘Prana Shakti’ can also be define in this manner, but this energy is much more than just ability or capacity to do work.

In Vedic scriptures, all source of Energy is described as “ADI SHAKTI” or “MAA SHAKTI”. It symbolize this universal Energy as Mother-Energy and source of all life and responsible for its sustenance. This Adi-Shakti is conjugal with Adi-Yogi Shiva. The Shiva represent man; the creator of culture and society and all other aspect of human life, while Adi-Shakti is life-force and there fusion ‘Shiva-Shakti’ is considered as origin of life. If Shakti separates from Shiva, Shiva became Shav-lifeless body without any energy or consciousness.
